About Me

Nisreen Shumayrikh, PhD

I am a medical writer and scientific communicator specializing in many therapeutic areas, including hematology, genetic engineering, and new drug discovery and development.

During my 15-year academic journey, I gained extensive training in research, scientific methods, and data analysis, which I apply to medical and science communication. Follow the link if you'd like to read my publications.

I always enjoy presenting and communicating scientific research to various audiences, from scientists to high schoolers. This is primarily because I believe strongly in the importance of science and medical communication in bridging the gap between professionals and the general public, which plays a big role in everything I do.

As an avid learner and active member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), I am at the forefront of the latest scientific research while continually growing in professionalism.

When I’m not writing, I’ll likely be spending time with family or taking a peaceful walk in nature.
